The Bear is considered the guardian fetish of the West. He represents strength and self-knowledge. He is a spiritual guide. The Bear is considered a powerful healing fetish.  Because these fetishes are hand-carved, there will be a slight variation from fetish to fetish.

*Howlite absorbs anger, both yours and others. It helps to overcome critical or selfish behavior. It's an extremely calming stone, thus relieving insomnia.  It balances calcium levels within the body and aids teeth, bones and soft tissue.

In the raw, howlite is found in cauliflower-like masses. This adaptable stone is named for Henry How, a 19th century mineralogist, who found it first in Nova Scotia. Howlite is soft and takes on rich hues of color when it's dyed. It is an inexpensive alternative to more costly stones. It’s natural color is white. Dyed, it looks like lapis lazuli, red coral or a turquoise.
